MILWAUKEE/NARI ANNOUNCES 2010 SPRING SHOWCASE “BEST OF SHOW” AWARD WINNER
May 27, 2010
MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee/NARI Home Improvement Council, Inc., the local chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) in its 48th year as the leading resource in the home improvement and remodeling industry in southeastern Wisconsin, announced that Ware Design, LLC in Delafield was the recipient of the “Best of Show” award that was presented in conjunction with the association’s annual Spring Home Improvement Showcase – A Tour of Remodeled Homes.
A panel of judges visited each of the 12 Spring Showcase project locations looking to identify the entry they believed had the best workmanship, attention to detail, design quality, and presented the best overall “tour experience.”
Ware Design’s Spring Showcase tour home, a 1970’s Frank Lloyd Wright inspired contemporary design, had a wooded location, but was in need of design vision to unlock its potential. The whole house transformation features interior design and architectural updates to the kitchen, living room, dining room, bathrooms, and bedrooms. Two entirely new elevations were added to include a retreat that serves as a library, den, and grown-up treehouse. A foyer, laundry, and mudroom were also added. The project showcases bespoke furniture, a crystal fireplace, and an “origami” style foyer chandelier.
The Milwaukee/NARI Home Improvement Council was chartered in July 1961, as a Chapter of the National Home Improvement Council. In May of 1982, the National Home Improvement Council merged with the National Remodelers Association to form NARI ⎯ the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. With over 900 members, the Milwaukee Chapter is the largest in the nation.
The Council’s goals of encouraging ethical conduct, sound business practices, and professionalism in the remodeling industry have led to the growth of the remodeling industry nationwide and made NARI a recognized authority in that industry.
