MILWAUKEE MILLWORK RECEIVES NARI NATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

MILWAUKEE, WI - Milwaukee Millwork, a leading distributor and manufacturer of windows, doors, mouldings, cabinets, stair parts, and related hardware for commercial contractors, homebuilders, and remodeling contractors in the Milwaukee area, was the recipient of the 2009 Distributor of the Year national achievement award presented by National NARI at the association’s annual Evening of Excellence™ held Sat., April 10, in Phoenix, Ariz. The award recognizes distributors who have demonstrated a strong commitment to NARI, the professional remodeling industry, and the communities in which they do business.
A member of the Milwaukee/NARI Home Improvement Council, Inc., the largest of 60 chapters of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) with more than 900 members, Milwaukee Millwork was nominated for the national award by Milwaukee/NARI after receiving the local chapter’s 2009 Distributor of the Year Award at a banquet in January of this year.

Milwaukee Millwork, which joined Milwaukee/NARI in May 1981, is a supplier to a number of Milwaukee/NARI members, working with those companies too not only enhance their business operations but to be more available to consumers. Staff members volunteer their time to serve on the association’s Home Improvement Show Committee and the Milwaukee/NARI Foundation, and provide replies to inquiries that come from consumers responding to the association’s question and answer columns that appear in local print media.
Staff continually promote Milwaukee/NARI to business people they come into contact with and encourage them to become a part of the association. The company regularly hosts contractor open houses and provides Milwaukee/NARI with space to promote association membership. In addition, the company displays Milwaukee/NARI materials for pick up by those that visit its location.
“We are thrilled to have received this award from NARI, the leading source for consumers looking for home improvement and remodeling information,” said Greg Adamec, general manager of Milwaukee Millwork. “We have been proud members of Milwaukee/NARI for nearly 30 years and cherish the relationships we have formed with other members over the years. Our involvement in an association that gives so much to its members has enabled our company to be more successful.”
In receiving the award, Milwaukee Millwork was recognized for participating in membership recruitment blitz promotions held several times during the year, being a significant product donor to the Milwaukee/NARI Foundation Rummage Sale, sponsoring association events, and providing new cabinetry for the kitchen cooking demonstration stage used at the Milwaukee/NARI Home Improvement Show.
