Milwaukee/NARI Foundation Certified Professional Scholarship Application
The Milwaukee/NARI Foundation serves as the educational and charitable arm of the Milwaukee/NARI Home Improvement Council, Inc. The purpose of our Foundation is to engage in educational programs and activities for the benefit and enlightenment of the public with respect to home remodeling and improvement.
The Foundation has four strategies:
- To expend funds for the refinement and/or expansion of existing Milwaukee/NARI educational programs.
- To support scholarships and similar grants to assist in the professional training of individuals entering the remodeling field.
- To embark on other activities determined to be essential to ensure a constant supply of qualified individuals who will pursue remodeling as a vocation.
- To expend funds to organizations deemed vital to the objectives of the Foundation.
SCHOLARSHIPS
The Milwaukee/NARI Foundation, Inc. is now offering a scholarship opportunity for current students for the 2011-2012 academic school year.
Milwaukee/NARI Foundation Scholarship Application (PDF).
The purpose of the Milwaukee/NARI Foundation Scholarship is to assist students who are residents of and plan to attend a Southeastern Wisconsin institution, pursuing a higher education in the remodeling industry – including associated mechanical, technical, and creative sectors.
Students enrolling in the following programs should apply for the scholarship: Architecture, Carpentry, Electrical, Engineering, HVAC, Interior Design, Landscaping, and Plumbing.
It is our intent to award 8-10 one-time scholarships to those most deserving. Grade point average and class rank provide a benchmark for evaluating applicants. However, emphasis will be placed on the student's demonstration of work ethic, motivation, dedication, follow through, and creativity.
Applications are due to the Milwaukee/NARI Foundation by March 1st, 2011. The recipient(s) will be notified by March 18th, 2011.
Please contact David Feldner, CAE, Milwaukee NARI Executive Director at (414) 771-4071 with questions regarding the scholarship.
