Renovators Ltd.

This master bathroom was outdated, from its busy wallpaper to its damaged floors, laminated countertops, 1980s “builder’s grade” fixtures, and a dated color scheme. The inconveniently located storage unit, along with the other existing cabinetry, was inadequate storage.  The homeowner wanted to open up the space, gain more storage, and update all the fixtures.

To give the perception of a larger room, the walls of the toilet room were removed and the shower was expanded. This eliminated the wasted space in front of the toilet and near the entrance of the shower. Using a glass shower enclosure allowed the light to spread from the window that once was tucked away in the toilet room.

“Yin-Yang Wading Pool” countertop sinks were accented by dark Cambria Nottingham quartz countertop. A Kohler Forte shower valve was used in the shower, and a Kohler Cimarron toilet in biscuit completed the ensemble. Large porcelain tiles laid at a 45-degree angle on the floor created distinction and smaller porcelain tiles laid straight on the wall with the intricate stone tile border made for an attention-grabbing detail in the shower.
