Space overall was required, so the kitchen remodel became part of a two-story addition. The new kitchen occupies all of the old kitchen space and some of the new addition. Relocating the cooktop and sink into the new area created room for a sizeable island and provided additional seating for everyday as well as for guests. Since sophistication and style were at the top of the homeowner’s list, cabinetry was selected with a white painted finish. Frosted glass doors were used on the cabinetry next to the vent hood for a focal point.
